Jet2 traces its roots to its foundation in 1983 as Channel Express. It started out operating freight services, then began their passenger charters towards international destinations.

Leeds Bradford International Airport is the main base and headquarters of Jet2. Steve Heapy serves as Jet2’s CEO.
