Gulf Air is the principal flag carrier of Bahrain. Gulf Air is headquartered in Muharraq, and adjacent to Bahrain International Airport. Gulf Air operates scheduled services to 42 destinations in 23 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe. Its main base is at Bahrain International Airport.

Origins and Ownership

British pilot and entrepreneur: Freddie Bosworth began an air taxi service in the late 1940’s, with destinations from Doha, Dhahran, and Bahrain. On March 24 1940, Bosworth expanded its service and registered a Gulf Aviation Company Limited as a private shareholding company. This is the birth of Gulf Air, one of the oldest carriers in the Middle East.

Gulf Air CEOMaher Salman Al Musallam, is the current CEO of Gulf Air. He joined Gulf Air as the Deputy CEO after completing his 35 year career with the royal Bahraini Air Force, where he was designated and held a number of high-ranking-positions, such as: Squadron Commander and Wing Commander where he was responsible for the daily management and emergency deployment of ten operational units; including flying, maintenance, logistics and administration.

Conclusion

With their cheap deals, friendly staffs and fast yet smooth and convenient flight; there is no doubt why passengers kept on boarding Gulf Air. Accommodating every passenger and assisting them towards their concerns, and ensuring them to have a safe, smooth and fast flight.
