What people are saying
The reviews given by the passengers of Avianca are a combination of positive and negative remarks. Though given the fact that there is no perfect airline, and that every airline has its flaws and disappointments. But Avianca aims to give its passengers the convenience and comfort they deserve as they travel with Avianca. Being said that the airline also receives several thumbs down, it’s the number of positive reviews that really gives the airline an impression of being a good airline. Here are some of the reviews:
“We flew from Caracas-Bogota-Barranquilla and returned Cartagena-Bogota-Caracas in December 2015 and we were very impressed with the level of service, the new planes, and especially the impressive new terminal in Bogota. We had lived in Barranquilla 20 years ago and WOW has Avianca improved. It is very deserving of praise and has come a LONG way. We choose to fly Avianca because it is part of STAR ALLIANCE so we earned our Aid Canada Aeroplan points for the trip. In fact this Christmas we have decided to fly again with Avianca to Lima and Cusco and we hope for as great a journey. Stay tuned…..I will let you know.”

“Great experience flying to Panama again. This time with one of my most favorite airlines Avianca. Panama is a new destination and I took the opportunity to visit Panam again, just because of the new finished canal! Tocumen airport is still the same however, while landing, you see the new airport building in full construction. The flight with Avianca went ‘smooth’ like always! Great service and on time! Panama, place to visit…..”
“I undertook a lot of research on Peruvian internal flights regarding age of fleet, safety, timeliness, cost etc – and went for Avianca – and wasn’t disappointed. We travelled with Avianca 4 times on internal flights within Peru – new planes, helpful and very well turned out staff, free refreshments, and every flight arrived early or on time. Excellent service and no hesitation in recommending them!”

Avianca might be the second oldest airline in the world but that doesn’t mean that they are not giving their passengers the quality services that they deserve. With the modernisation of most of their aircrafts, Avianca surely is doing their best to meet the expectations of their passengers in this generation. Comfortable seats with a desirable legroom, delightful meals and snacks, clean lavatory and polite staff and crew. Flying with Avianca, must a wonderful experience.
